TORY LORD CAMERON ESCALATES TENSIONS WITH RUSSIA IN UKRAINE

Lord Cameron’s stupid bluster has been bringing the world to the edge of nuclear war – while the British press stays silent.

In a recent interview (filmed on a visit to Ukraine), foreign secretary David Cameron threatened the use of cruise missile strikes on Russian territory using British-provided Atacms.

Lord Cameron of Chipping Norton is, of course, the unelected Tory lord who resigned as prime minister over Brexit, and has since been mired in the overt corruption of the Greensill scandal, which saw him accept £30m in share options in return for lobbying current prime minister (then chancellor) Rishi Sunak and former prime minister Boris Johnson for hundreds of millions in government ‘Covid’ relief for the failing hedge fund billionaire.

Perhaps this CV should have been a warning to those responsible for reappointing him.

Although no longer an elected MP, Cameron has been placed back in the driving seat of British foreign policy. In his role as Britain’s chief diplomat (don’t laugh), he told Reuters that Ukraine has the “right” to use British-supplied weapons to strike Russia inside its own territory.

The Russian government made it clear that it could strike British military installations and equipment both “inside and beyond” Ukraine if British weapons were used by Kiev to attack its territory.

“Any British military facilities and equipment on the territory of Ukraine and beyond could be a response to Ukrainian strikes with the use of British weapons on the territory of Russia,” the ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement.

The Kremlin summoned the British ambassador to Moscow on 7 May “to express a strong protest” at Cameron’s comments.

“The ambassador was called upon to reflect on the inevitable catastrophic consequences of such hostile steps by London and to immediately refute the belligerent provocative statements of the head of the foreign office in the most decisive and unequivocal way.

“The Russian side views Cameron’s words as evidence of a serious escalation and confirmation of London’s growing involvement in military operations on the side of Kiev,” said the ministry.

Earlier on 6 May, Russia announced it had started preparing for nuclear weapons exercises, accusing western officials of making “provocative statements and threats” by deepening their support for Ukraine.

Britain, the European Union and Nato were all forced into some furious back-pedalling, their dangerous bluff having been called.

This is all yet more evidence that the wheels are falling off the Nato war chariot, as Russia heads inexorably to victory over their fascist proxy Ukrainian junta.
