Time to Invade "Israel"
It is normal for a country under attack by another by air to invade the other to stop the attacks. Lebanon is now under attack by air by an entity that is incapable of invading Lebanon on the ground. But the ground is where matters of war are settled, not in the air. Multiple ‘Israeli’ attempted incursions into Lebanon over the past weeks have been repeatedly repelled by Hezbollah forces. I argue that now is the time to invade ‘Israel’ to stop that entity’s attacks on Lebanon. The two arguments often made against invading are refuted by events.
First, the argument that invasion should be held back lest ‘Israeli’ intensify its bombings of civilian areas is refuted by ‘Israel’s’ present ongoing intense bombings upon civilian areas without any Lebanese invasion that would allegedly provoke such bombings. The US-‘Israeli’ ceasefire demand that ‘Israel’ have the treaty right to bomb Lebanon anywhere and anytime it wishes for any reason, i.e. allegedly to destroy Hezbollah weapons, etc. argues that now is the time to invade to put an end to their fantasies of a ‘Greater Israel’ that includes much of Lebanon. Imagine a peace treaty that gives one belligerent country the right to bomb the other? Only made in America!
Second, another argument to hold back invasion is that invasion will provoke America’s open entry into the war on the side of its proxy ‘Israel’. But for the next two weeks, the war parties in America are vulnerable. The American Presidential election is November 5. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris do not want to send troops to West Asia before the election, since many Americans will go to the polls and vote against them for involving America in yet another forever war. The upcoming election is a deterrent against American intervention. So, a Hezbollah invasion of northern Palestine will be met with hysteria and disbelief, but perhaps little more, for Lebanon is supposed to be already defeated by ‘Israel’. How could it invade? Invasion will be viewed as a fair response by many around the world. Many observers will remark after witnessing ‘Israel’s’ unprovoked bombings of civilian areas in Lebanon over the past few weeks, that the ‘Israeli’ monsters are finally getting their just deserts.
One of the early results of an invasion will be the capture of several Zionist soldiers. That will give Netanyahu and Gallant food for thought. How far into occupied Palestine could Hezbollah fighters reach in two weeks? Will it start with “Storming the Galilee” as Sayyed Hassan promised? This is hard to tell. Hezbollah does not have its own tanks, but it has captured quite a number of ‘Israeli’ tanks. The fitness of those captured tanks for an invasion is unknown. Israel has US bombers to use against Hezbollah, but will they bomb their own positions inside occupied Palestine?
War is unpredictable. Two things are certain: First, any territory or soldiers seized by Hezbollah will turn the tables in the ceasefire negotiations. Second, while Lebanon has righteousness on its side, ‘Israel’ mainly has cowardice.
