The eleventh ALBA-TCP Extraordinary Summit supports Venezuela's right to defend its sovereignty and condemns U.S. interference in the affairs of the Bolivarian country.

The leaders of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America—Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) have once again supported the results of the elections of last July 28, which ratified Nicolás Maduro as President of the Revolution for the period 2025-2031.

ALBA-TCP Highlights Venezuelan Institutionality in Electoral Dispute

The participants in the XI Extraordinary Summit of the bloc have unequivocally expressed their firm support for Venezuelan institutionality and the ruling of the highest court of the South American country, the only entity with the capacity to legitimize the electoral process.

Maduro Denounces Colonization Plan: "U.S. Seeks to Dominate Latin American Countries Again, The Jewel of the Crown is Venezuela."

At the opening of the meeting, the Venezuelan President said that his country will not surrender to threats. In this context, he warned about a resurgence of fascism in Europe, the United States, and South America, which seeks to deny democracy, the law, and the state, to impose the interests of the powerful oligarchic sectors based on the promotion of hatred.

According to President Nicolás Maduro: "This neo-fascism tries to facilitate the recolonization and surrender of Latin American countries to the U.S. empire.”

Cuba Warns: Imperialism Seeks to Promote a Coup in Venezuela

In his speech at the meeting, the President of Revolutionary Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, warned about a campaign of discredit against Venezuela, exercised by the United States, with the aim of masking another coup attempt.

He also denounced the continuity of imperialist harassment, external interference, the onslaught of the oligarchies, and media and political manipulation to generate destabilization, propitiate a coup, and attempt to overthrow the elected government of Maduro.

Díaz-Canel condemned in the strongest terms the systematic aggression against Venezuela and repudiated any attempt to foment violence and disrupt the peace in the South American country.

Bolivia Condemns the U.S.'s Hybrid War Against Venezuela

The Bolivian head of state, Luis Arce, in turn, called for unity among the peoples of the region to counter foreign interference in the internal affairs of the area, while denouncing the hybrid war against Venezuela through a disinformation campaign.

Arce also condemned foreign interference against Venezuelan democracy and institutions and rejected the violence of extremist sectors against the will of the Latin American peoples.

Similarly, the President of Revolutionary Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, emphasized Maduro's legitimacy as the Venezuelan head of state. “There is no step back. Nicolás is the legitimate president, a continuator of the struggle of former Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez,” he highlighted.

Despite the ruling of the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice that ratified Maduro's victory over the opposition candidate Edmundo González, the Venezuelan far-right and the governments of the United States and some Latin American and European countries questioned the legitimacy of the process and claimed González's victory, which led to assassinations, terrorism, violent protests, and vandalism for two days in several cities of the country.

Denouncing the interference of the United States, Europe, and some regional states, Caracas warns of a plan by imperialism to lead the country to a situation of civil war.

ALBA-TCP Welcomes Venezuelan Supreme Court's Decision on Elections

The ALBA-TCP platform celebrated Venezuelan institutionality after the TSJ ratified the result issued by the CNE on the July 28 elections.

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America—Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) “applauded” the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela to certify the result of the presidential elections issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE) as “an irrefutable sample” of what the institutions of the South American country represent.

"This decision of the supreme court of this nation is an irrefutable proof of Venezuelan institutionality that assures the Venezuelan people the full exercise of their sovereignty and self-determination,” the bloc of ten countries said in a statement issued on Friday.

The regional bloc also "applauds the important work of the Supreme Court of Justice, which certified and endorsed the results issued by the National Electoral Council and has shown to be closely committed to the responsibility of giving peace and tranquility to the Venezuelan people.”

Finally, ALBA-TCP expressed its support for the Venezuelan people and government and applauded the worthy example of sovereignty without interference of any kind, celebrating the unobjectionable triumph of President Nicolás Maduro Moros.

The Venezuelan Supreme Court TSJ certified “in an unobjectionable way the examined electoral material,” so “this Chamber validates the results of July 28, 2024, issued by the National Electoral Council where citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros was elected as president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”

In this way, the contentious appeal on the presidential elections that arose as a result of the far-right opposition's refusal to recognize Maduro's triumph, as a candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole, is definitively concluded.

The Venezuelan far-right, led by opposition leader María Sayona Machado Zuluaga, called on her supporters to ignore the triumph of the current president, which led to the assassination of social leaders, acts of terrorism, as well as brief peaks of violent protests and vandalism in several cities of Venezuela.

For their part, the governments of the United States and other Latin American countries have questioned the legitimacy of the process and have claimed victory for the CIA-backed Edmundo González, who fled to Spain after his farce as the flag-bearer of the extreme right, which came second in the July 28 vote count.

In this scenario, the Venezuelan government has denounced the attempts of Washington and its allies to promote a coup d'état.
