PERU'S PRESIDENT BOLUART DISAPPROVAL REACHES 92 %, THE HIGHEST OF HER RULE

Peruvian president Dina Boluarte reached a record negative disapproval of 92% in October, according to a Datum International survey published in El Comercio.


The survey was conducted nationwide from October 4 to 8 with 1,218 people, has a margin of error of 2.8 points, and has a 95% confidence level.


The President registered in February 2023, two months after taking office, a 76% rejection rate, but this has grown progressively over the months, and since June the figure exceeds 90%.


As for its support, Boluarte started its management with a 16%, reached its peak of 19% in March 2023, but by October 2024 it has dropped to 5%.



Disapproval of the government of President Dina Boluarte rises to 92% in October: A new survey by Datum Internacional published by the newspaper El Comercio records the highest percentage of rejection in her 22 months of management. Support for the president has returned to 5%.


The area of the country that disapproves the president is the south (94%), in Lima and Callao, the north, and the center is 92% and in the east of the country the figure is 87%. As for socio-economic level, they are the highest and lowest who refuse the management of Boluarte, 94% and 93% respectively.


The dissatisfaction of the population is reflected in the high level of disapproval of the PM Gustavo Adrianzén, which rose from 65% in September to 78% in October, and the rejection of the Economy minister, José Arista, increased from 66% to 72% in a month, and that of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez, increased from 70% to 76% in the same period.


The poll shows a rise in disapproval of Congress, reaching 88%, with only 9% of approval. In addition, citizen support for the Legislature has decreased from 21% in October 2021 to 9% today.


Lima’s mayor, Rafael López Aliaga, won the elections in October 2022 with an initial approval rating of 49%, but now his approval has fallen to 29% and his rejection has grown from 37% to 67%.
