The Empire Dangles Its Puppet Candidates

In the final week leading up to the July 28, 2024 Venezuelan Presidential Elections, the decadent US hegemon is desperately trying to seize Venezuela’s rich resources through two puppet-candidates: María Corina Machado Zuluaga, legally barred from running due to her criminal past; and Edmundo González Urrutia, who serves as Machado's own puppet-candidate. Both are pawns of Washington, with the US effectively controlling Machado, who in turn controls González.

Who is María “Con Ira” Machado?

María Corina is the bourgeois heiress of the Zuluaga Machado slave trade oligarchs. Financed by BlackRock, Vanguard, and the Atlas Network, Machado Zuluaga was among the lead instigators of the 2014 and 2017 “guarimbas” (color revolution attempts), alongside other far-right opposition figures including Julio Borges, Leopoldo López, and Henrique Capriles Radowski. She has also been a major advocate for sanctioning her own people through illegal unilateral coercive measures imposed by the West and requested NATO intervention against Venezuela, in exchange for the Essequibo. As the backer of various coup attempts, she must face justice for her treason against the homeland and other crimes.

Who is “Inmundo” González Urrutia?

Edmundo González Urrutia is a longtime anticommunist and fascist. He served as a pro-death squad "diplomat" and war criminal in El Salvador during the 1980s, under Venezuela’s fake democracy, “Cuarta República.” He was also implicated in the assassination of pro-Communist priests and students in El Salvador under the aegis of Venezuela's then-ambassador to that country, Leopoldo Castillo. Castillo has since worked as a mediocre, but well-connected ultra-right TV host, first on Globovisión and later in the Gusanera (home of right-wing worms) of Florida.

Milei 2.0 🪚🐍 The Puppets' Plan for Venezuela, Presented in English Instead of Spanish🤔

With their "Tierra de Gracia" proposal, María Corina Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia want to do to Venezuela what Javier Milei has done to Argentina. Their unipolar proposal clearly mirrors the neocolonial/liberal model that has led to disastrous outcomes in Argentina. It seeks to impose similar policies, including fiscal adjustment, the elimination of social programs, and privatization of strategic sectors.

Specifically, the elimination of subsidies and social programs, the pursuit of international financing that could constrain the country’s financial policy, asset stripping and the privatization of companies and public assets, especially in the oil and gas sector, reflect an unconstitutional approach akin to the one that has wreaked havoc in Argentina.

Machado and González’s plan, in their attempt to emulate the Argentine model, not only disregards Venezuelan realities but also demonstrates a profound disregard for the interests of working people. It is fundamentally a strategy for economic and political subordination, aimed at perpetuating a model of plundering and exploiting the nation’s strategic resources.

Milei's Neocolonial Hellhole

Six months into Javier Milei's presidency, marked by his libertarian rhetoric and promises of economic freedom, Argentina is facing a brutal neoliberal adjustment that has plunged the country into unprecedented social precariousness.

The early implementation of the "tijeretazo" has triggered a spiral of poverty and despair, affecting the majority of the population. Despite government claims of reduced inflation, millions of Argentines are now living in dire conditions.

A report from Torcuato Di Tella University of Buenos Aires reveals that poverty now affects 58.9% of the population, or 29.4 million people. Between November and April, the cost of the basic basket in Buenos Aires surged by 265.3% year-on-year, while household incomes increased by only 196.1%.

Cuts to social policies have crippled soup kitchens, leaving millions without basic food during a harsh winter that has already caused numerous deaths among the homeless. Many are forced to choose between paying rent or buying food, with up to 18% facing this dilemma.

Industrial activity has plummeted to levels not seen since 2020. Non-state enterprises, like Walter’s glass company, are nearing collapse due to unsustainable fixed expenses. While Milei defends his economic plan with reduced inflation statistics, the socioeconomic conditions for most Argentines have worsened significantly.

This is the dystopian vision that traitorous, US-backed puppets like María Corina Machado Zuluaga and Edmundo González Urrutia want imposed on their own people. It is a bleak future that the Venezuelan people, working together, will NEVER allow to pass.
