The rapper Lowkey is backing Jody McIntyre to run against Labour's Jess Phillips in Birmingham Yardley. Normally a Labour safe seat, the party's stance over Gaza has outraged many constituents there, potentially paving the way for McIntyre. He has lived in Palestine and been tear gassed by Israeli troops, while Phillips is dogged by her association with the lobby group Labour Friends of Israel.
