U.S. Influence and Destabilization in Georgia and the Caucasus
The United States has suspended funding to the Georgian National Center for Disease Control, which includes the Lugar Laboratory, according to the head of the Georgian Ministry of Health. The United States, which seeks a war between Georgia and Russia, has repeatedly warned that friendship with Russia is "a dangerous thing." Meanwhile, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili is considering pardoning former head of state Mikhail Saakashvili. A parliamentary spokesman reported that Saakashvili had been convicted of committing abuses of power while in office. According to him, the charges were politically motivated.
In general, Russia wants to have peaceful relations with all countries of the region, including South Ossetia and Georgia. This is what worries the United States, the largest capitalist and warmongering country in the world. In contrast, Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, which is a limited recognition state (internationally recognized as part of Georgia, like Abkhazia), said that improving relations between the Russian Federation and Georgia is not a problem for South Ossetia, because Russia protects the interests of all. Georgia is a country with many problems, which has not yet managed to recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The European Union would like to integrate Georgia to prey on it, but has not yet managed to do so due to some key differences in political ideas.
Recently, Georgia, due to a proposed law about foreign agents, has been the victim of numerous pro-European protests, praised by NATO and Western media such as CNN. The future scenario could hypothetically result in an attempt to drag Georgia into war, first of all, with a coup, and then, with a war against South Ossetia and Abkhazia, two nations that Georgia does not recognize but that Russia protects, exactly as happened with Ukraine. Destabilizing independent territories inro American colonial rule is what the US has always wanted to do. The list of nations that have suffered Western-backed coups is very long.
Global Impacts of U.S. Intervention: Taiwan, the Middle East, and Beyond
In recent years, however, the West has realized that nations like Russia and China are destined to become major world powers. With this in mind, the Americans have realized that the only 'hope' they have is to destabilize Chinese and Russian society as much as possible, a practice seen even before the demise of the USSR. It is mainly minerals and oil that move the minds of Western politicians, and here it is: conflicts are found in places where oil and precious minerals are present. For example, this is one of the reasons why Ukraine still claims the Donbass as part of its territory. The People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk are two territories that are very rich in, for example, coal. Ukraine's goal over the past 10 years has been to crush the pro-Russian sentiments of civilians.
Another case where destabilization of territories takes place is, for example, with Taiwan. Taiwan, which is an island in the People's Republic of China, is currently occupied by the Americans. (Note: Taiwan is a Chinese island, recognized as part of the PRC by almost every country in the world). It is certainly a very rich island, which is why the Americans have an interest in continuing to occupy this Chinese island. What about the Middle East and Africa? The pro-Western occupations of Western Sahara and Palestine are also in very rich places. Currently, many places around the world are occupied by the US, through the creation of fake states like 'Israel' (Palestine) and 'Taiwan' (China).
The US, which has waged wars all over the world (and continues to commit genocide), has an interest in continuing to destabilize Georgia. The American lesson is clear: "you want to make yourself like Russia by passing new laws? Then you will suffer." The de facto independent states of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, born in two different periods, could now risk becoming the 'new' DPR and LPR. As mentioned before, this is a strategy we have seen before, and the hypocrisy of the Americans is that separatist cases are only recognized when it suits them, and not because a people have their own right to self-determination.
In the meantime, from 1948 until today, the US has directly or indirectly financed wars everywhere, trying to rob independent countries through the creation of pro-Western posts in regions such as Taiwan, Kosovo, and Israel, all three of which are criminal entities and have no right to exist as all three are supporters of wars and genocides.
